The water crisis continues in the Gaza Strip. In fact, the crisis has worsened since the Israeli offensive in October 2023, which escalated to the point of blocking access to clean water. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that the minimum amount of water a person needs per day in an emergency is 15 liters. However, Gazans survive on only three liters or less per day.
One of them was experienced by a resident of Khan Younis named Hashim. The story was told by his grandson to the Religion Media Center. Hashim usually uses used water bottles to hold the water used for ablution. The used bottle was taken from used dishwashing soap which can hold approximately 1.5 liters of water.
